The Great Jewish Revolt

While things seemed bad for the Jews of Judea following the destruction of the Second Temple, they were about to get so much worse. There were huge economic and social costs to the Jews’ ongoing rebellion against the Romans — not to mention a loss of life on a scale possibly not seen again until the 20th century. But despite the challenges, outstanding individuals rose to the fore. They kept Judaism alive and are still thought of as role models today.
