Does Hatzalah beat ambulances to the scene?

United Hatzalah, a non-profit medical response service founded by Eli Beer in 2006, provides free emergency treatment and ambulance transportation to anyone in Israel no matter who or where they are. And “hatzalah”, Hebrew for “rescue”, is exactly what they do. United Hatzalah’s 6,200+ volunteers were dispatched to over 650,000 emergencies in 2021 alone! They help people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with response times often under 3 minutes and as fast as 90 seconds!
