There is nothing I love to see on TV more than strong Jewish women choosing to celebrate their faith and heritage.
“Between the Temples” joins a genre of various b’nai mitzvah films that track that awkward, uncomfortable, and rewarding stage of becoming a Jewish adult.
It’s never too late to pursue a Jewish adulthood — or to fall in love, at least according to director Nathan Silver’s “Between the Temples.” 
The bar and bat mitzvah as we know it today began in the 12th century and has evolved significantly through the centuries.
“Representation is everything, and seeing yourself on screen — no matter your race, religion, or ethnicity — is always empowering,” Dutton said.
“You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” highlights that while the ceremony is a milestone, it doesn’t dictate one’s destiny.
