Mijal Bitton is a spiritual leader, teacher, and researcher. She is the rosh kehilla of the Downtown Minyan in NYC where she leads a community of young professionals. Mijal is a visiting researcher at NYU Wagner and the director of the National Study of Sephardic/Mizrahi Jews in the U.S. She is a Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute, a Sacks Scholar, a New Pluralist Field Builder, and a Maimonides Fund Fellow. Mijal loves her many communities and enjoys intertwining her Latina and Middle Eastern backgrounds.
