Born in Mexico City, Estrella Jafif considers herself a citizen of the world. Since she was a little girl, her Middle Eastern and Mexican heritages defined her relationship with food. She grew up in a home and family filled with love, where food was (and is) the protagonist of all family events. She studied culinary arts in Europe and the U.S. and, after many years and experiences, found her style in the kitchen, and although it is always evolving, her heritage predominates.
