Unpacked has become synonymous with breaking down the complexities of Judaism and Israel. Our YouTube channel answers the big and small questions and delivers a deeper clearer understanding of the Jewish story.
And we’re looking for some hosts.
Hold up: This is not an acting position!
Our ideal host will collaborate with our producers, writers and publishing team to bring subjects surrounding Israel and Judaism to life on screen in a clear and compelling way and in their voice.
We are looking for two candidates – one for Jewish content and one for Israel content.
Bonus if you can do both!
This is a part-time paid position that may lead to a full-time gig.
Host role description
Host requirements
- Deeply curious with a strong desire to get to the bottom of interesting questions and stories, and a capacity to communicate that desire with an audience
- Capacity to take a pre-written script and deliver content naturally, authentically and spontaneously
- Passionate about subjects related to Israel and/or Judaism
- Comfortable in front of a camera and on screen
- North American accent and good pronunciation of modern Hebrew
Added bonus but not required
- Deep familiarity with source material and fluency with relevant subject
- Experience in writing, producing and/or editing videos
- Experience creating content for YouTube
