There’s nothing like a creamy, savory tahini dip to get your family and friends munching on nutritious vegetables. I pick up small plastic disposable containers at my local dollar store, fill them with my dip of choice for the day, pack a small bag of veggies, and I’m guaranteed to keep away from the candy bowl at work.
This green tahini is great for kids, too – stick a container of it into your kids’ lunch bag, or serve it as an after-school snack with veggies and pita wedges.
- ½ cup sesame paste
- 2 cloves garlic
- Juice of 2 lemons
- ¼-½ cup water
- 1 tsp salt (or more)
- 3 cups loosely packed herbs (chives, dill and parsley)
- Place sesame paste, garlic, lemon juice, water and salt in food processor. Process until smooth, scraping sides of bowl as necessary. Tahini should be smooth and creamy. Add more water if necessary.
- Add herbs, and process until fully incorporated.
- Serve with crudités, chips or falafel and pita.
